Doron Klein, AFI Europe Czech Republic CEO, takes leadership of AFI Europe Romania
Bucharest, June 13th, 2018: AFI Europe Romania, a leading real estate development and investment company, present on the local market since 2005, is pleased to announce that Doron Klein will take over the leadership of the company, starting with July. Currently, he leads the operations of AFI Europe Czech Republic. Doron Klein will be replacing David Hay, who spent the past 7 years as CEO of AFI Europe Romania.
Originally from Israel, Doron Klein has more than 15 years’ experience operating in Central and Eastern European real estate markets, having been based in the Czech Republic for most of that time. He joined AFI Europe in 2008, and since 2011 he has served and will continue to serve, as CEO of AFI Europe’s operations in the Czech Republic. Doron Klein has an MBA degree from the University of New York in Prague, Czech Republic, and is fluent in Hebrew, English, and Czech.
David Hay, who held the position for the past 7 years, has been part of AFI Europe since 2006. In addition to being CEO of AFI Europe Romania, David served in the past as CEO in the CEE region, managing the company’s operations in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Hungary, and Latvia.
In Romania, Doron Klein will take over the leadership of a team of more than 130 people and will lead the operations of the company that is present in various cities across the country. The operations of AFI Europe in Romania are the largest and most performing among all countries where AFI Europe operates, with properties and projects which include shopping centers, office buildings, residential and mixed-use developments, representing a significant part of AFI Europe’s assets portfolio.
